Double Ended Tubular Heaters
Tubular Heaters are the most versatile of all electric heating elements. They are capable of being formed into virtually any configuration. Tubular heating elements perform exceptional heat transfer by conduction, convection and radiation to heat liquids, air, gases, and surfaces. Custom built from .200" diameter to .475" diameter and up to 600V. Tubular Heaters are available in a variety of sheath materials with temperature capabilities up to 1600°F (870°C).
Versatile tubular elements can be designed for use in most applications. The metal sheath isolates and protects the resistor wire from the environment. At the same time it maximizes heat transfer capability to the work. Tubular elements can be bent to put the heat where it works best.
Tubular heating elements perform exceptional industrial heat transfer by conduction, convection, or radiation to heat liquids, air, gases, and surfaces. Bends are made to customer requirements: custom built from 0.200" to 0.475" diameters, a multitude of sheath materials with sheath temperature capabilities up to 1600°F, and watt densities to fit many applications up to 600 volts. Available with over 20 optional terminations and many stocked accessories.
TRC-315 .315" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Type 3 Terminals- Heliarc-welded to the cold pin. Bending — Customer’s minimum inside bending radius is 15/16".
TRC-475 .475" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Type 4 Terminals — Standard. Integral parts of the element are of high strength to resist bending during tightening of the wiring connections. Type 4 is threaded extension of the cold pin. Bending — Customer’s minimum inside bending radius is 1-1/2".
TRI-246 .246" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Small Diameter Tubular Elements — Most easily bent to conform to work surfaces and to “pack” heat into confined spaces. Because of the small cross-section, these tubulars also heat up and cool rapidly.
Type 28 Terminals — Heliarc-welded to the cold pin. Bending — Customer’s minimum inside bending radius is 3/4".

TRI-375 .375" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Type 3 Terminals — Heliarc-welded to the cold pin. Bending — Customer’s minimum inside bending radius is 1-1/8".
TRI-430 .430" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Type 4 Terminals — Standard. Integral parts of the element are of high strength to resist bending during tightening of the wiring connections. Type 4 is threaded extension of the cold pin.

TSSM .200" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Type 34 Terminals — Standard with high temperature leads attached to sheath.
Bending — Customer’s minimum inside bending radius is 5/8".
UTUA-LT 430" Dia. Round Cross-Section
Liquid-Tight Fittings - 9/16-18 Brass for mounting. Nuts, washers and gaskets included.
10-32 Terminals - Stainless steel, complete with nuts and washers.
